The 7 Love Letters of Jesus to His Church | Sunday Message

God?s love for you motivates His words and actions toward you. In this episode, Pastor Greg Laurie describes the lengths to which God goes to pursue fellowship with you. Find out more from the Book of Revelation in this message, ?The 7 Love Letters of Jesus to His Church.? It?s the latest in Revelation: A Book of Promises. Notes The Bible tells us simply that God is love. God wants a relationship with you. Ephesus was the church leaving its first love.  Smyrna was the suffering church. A sign of the End Times is an increase in persecution. Pergamum was tolerating sin (Revelation 2:14). The church of Thyatira had grown tolerant of sin.  The church of Sardis looked good on the outside but were dead on the inside. ?Him who holds the seven Spirits of God and the seven stars.? What the church of Sardis desperately needed was the power of the Holy Spirit. All Christians need to ask God to fill them with the Holy Spirit.  Jesus has given to us an unprecedented open door (Revelation 3:7). God has given us enough strength to do what He has called us to do.  Jesus promises to keep us from the Great Tribulation Period.  Some churches make the Lord weep; other churches make Him angry. The Laodicean church makes him sick. Read: Revelation 3:14?16 ?You are neither cold nor hot? (Revelation 3:15). Laodicea was a church that was neither cold nor hot, merely lukewarm. Lukewarmness makes Jesus sick. The word cold means frozen or icy cold. The word hot means to be boiling hot. Lukewarm people are usually the last to know (Revelation 3:17). ?As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten. Therefore be zealous and repent? (Revelation 3:19).   You need to enter into a relationship with Christ. Jesus Loves You! | Classic Crusade from Anaheim, CA

In this classic crusade message, Pastor Greg Laurie has a simple message to deliver: ?Jesus Loves You!?  Speaking from John 8 on the story of Jesus and the woman caught in adultery, Pastor Greg emphasizes God?s love and His readiness to forgive. At the same time, we learn about the danger of ?religious? living without true heart change. The religious leaders proved to be only self-righteous, and none of them could say they had no sin.  Thus, we all need the forgiveness that comes from true faith in Jesus Christ.  Pastor Greg says, ?No matter who you are, no matter what you have done, Jesus loves you. He proved that love for you by dying in your place and paying the price for your sin. Maybe you weren?t loved by your parents. Maybe your father walked out on you when you were just a little child?or your mother even. Maybe you have messed your life up. I am telling you: God can transform you. God can change you. God can forgive you.? To learn more about having a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, just go to KnowGod.org. Sunday Message: What if Jesus Sent You an Email?

The Book of Revelation doesn?t just have a lot to say about the future. It speaks accurately to the present as well. In this Sunday morning episode, Pastor Greg Laurie shows us exactly what Jesus knows about you and what He has to say to you, personally. Listen in for some encouraging truth from Revelation: A Book of Promises.  Notes We learn about the future to motivate us to live right in the present. They speak to us practically. They speak to us prophetically. They speak to us personally. The Church has many critics, but no equals. The Lord always knows what?s going on in His churches and with His people. As followers of Jesus we should be busy and about our Father?s business. As followers of Jesus we need to hang in there through thick and thin. We need to be more discerning as Christians. It?s not that they lost their first love, they left it. ?You have left your first love.? ?Revelation 2:4 Their devotion had turned to duty. Remember Repent Repeat ?Be faithful until death, and I will give you the Crown of Life.? ?Revelation 2:10 Different crowns promised in the Bible: The Crown of Rejoicing The Crown of Righteousness  The Crown of Life  If you have trusted Christ, you do not have to fear the second death (Revelation 2:11). ?She that lives for pleasure is dead while she is living.? ?1 Timothy 5:6 For those who have trusted Christ, the best is yet to come! The Book of Revelation is full of promises, warnings, instructions, and a vivid picture of the glory that awaits all believers. There's a blessing promised to the person who reads, hears, and keeps the words of this book. Listen in and experience the blessing! Notes The word revelation means, ?unveiling.? God does not give us Bible prophecy to scare us, but to prepare us. The primary objective of Revelation is not to reveal Antichrist, but Jesus Christ. The essence of prophecy is to give a clear witness for Jesus (Revelation 19:10). Bible prophecy is not given to inflate our brains, but to enlarge our hearts. Revelation is the only book of the Bible with a ?built-in? blessing attached. Three prerequisites necessary to receive the promised blessing: Read it for yourself. Hear the words of the prophecy. Keep the things which are written in it. We learn about the future to motivate us to live right in the present. Studying the Book of Revelation unlocks the mystery of history. Studying the Book of Revelation brings sense to our suffering. ?He will wipe every tear from their eyes, and there will be no more death or sorrow or crying or pain. All these things are gone forever? (Revelation 21:4). God wants us to understand Bible prophecy. ?Whatever exists today and whatever will exist in the future has already existed in the past. For God calls each event back in its turn? (Ecclesiastes 3:15). Revelation reveals the events of the Last Days are closely linked together. Revelation is from Jesus Christ revealing Himself to us. Jesus always tells the truth about us and the future, but He speaks that truth in love! Not only are you loved, but as a Christian, you are cleansed from your sins. When Christ returns all the world will know.  Revelation gives us the only actual description of Jesus in the Bible.  The Book of Revelation tells us not to be afraid!  When you fear God, you fear nothing else; whereas, if you do not fear God, you fear everything else. Hope for Those Who Have Lost Loved Ones: Hope that Comes from God

The old pop song by Bill Withers called ?Lean on Me? talked about the value of leaning on a friend when we?re weak. Today, we?ll see that?s God?s message to us. When our lives have been shredded by circumstances beyond our control ? or even circumstances brought on by our own mistakes ? God is our refuge. Funambulism is the skill of walking the tightrope . . . the high wire. And performers face mortal danger . . . it?s a long way down. The last thing they want (literally) is to make it only half way across the high wire. Sunday Message: What the Resurrection of Jesus Means to You

When the disciples saw their Lord crucified on the cross, their hopes and dreams were dashed. But where they saw an ending, God brought a new beginning. In this Sunday morning episode, Pastor Greg Laurie explores the defining event of our faith. Find out ?What the Resurrection of Jesus Means to You? in this message. It?s the finale of our series, The Gospel for Busy People. Notes The cross was Jesus? goal and destination from the very beginning; and it happened exactly as Jesus had predicted. The crucifixion and resurrection were God?s well thought out plan. God takes our endings and turns them into new beginnings. Read: Mark 16:1?8 ?So they went out quickly from the tomb with fear and great joy.? ?Matthew 28:8 If Jesus were not God, He would have never allowed worship. Read: John 20:11?17 Jesus made many post-resurrection appearances.  1. The resurrection of Jesus assures me that I am accepted by God.  There is no forgiveness from balancing records, but from canceling them. 2. The resurrection of Jesus assures me that I have all the power I need to live the Christian life. 3. The resurrection of Jesus assures me that I too will live forever in Heaven. The tomb is not an entrance to death, but to life! The moment we take our last breath on Earth, we take our first breath in Heaven. 4. The resurrection of Jesus assures me that I will receive a new body just like His. You will still be you in Heaven. 5. Because of Jesus? resurrection, we will have resurrected relationships. Because Jesus died and rose there are many blessings that have come. 6. Because Jesus died and rose from the dead, we need to tell others.  The Great Commission   These words are a command. These words were not directed merely to the original twelve disciples.  They are for every follower and disciple of Jesus Christ. Our Blessed Hope: Greg Laurie and Don Stewart Answer Questions About the Rapture

In this episode, we revisit a fascinating conversation with Pastor Greg Laurie and Bible scholar Don Stewart. They look at the topic of the rapture and answer some questions many people have about this prophetic event.  In addition to answering objections and evaluating different views of this event, they underscore the importance of biblical prophecy in the lives of believers. Pastor Greg says, "Scripture says he that has this hope purifies himself, even as He is pure. It has a purifying effect when you know Christ can come back. I think when you are walking with God, you love it." Don Stewart is an internationally recognized Christian apologist and speaker. Sunday Message: What the Death of Jesus Means to You

Why did Jesus have to suffer and die? The cross was not a mistake in God?s plan. It was the plan all along?to save us. In this Sunday message, Pastor Greg Laurie preaches on one of the most important subjects in all the Bible: the death of Jesus. From Mark 15, it?s the latest message in our series, The Gospel for Busy People. Notes We need to go out into the world and preach the gospel. Not through politics, but through prayer and preaching, we will turn our world upside down in the same way. Why did God suffer? Because He loved and He loves. Jesus took the curse, so we don?t have to. Jesus was dying on someone else?s cross. Jesus was dying for Barabbas, and all sinners everywhere! They were there against their will. Jesus was there because He willingly went. The seven statements of Jesus on the cross: ?Father forgive them, for they know not what they do.? ?Today you will be with me in paradise.? ?Woman, behold your son.? ?Son, behold your mother.? ?My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?? ?I thirst!? ?It is finished!? ?Into Your hands I commit my spirit.? Jesus could have saved Himself. No man has ever experienced loneliness and isolation as Jesus did at this point. At the cross, even God the Father turned away His face from God the Son. Jesus was forsaken so we don?t have to be. Jesus was forsaken of God that we might be forgiven. God was the ?Master of Ceremonies? at the cross. For all the evil of the crucifixion, it brought about an infinite good. Sunday Message: A Second Chance in Life

We can?t change the past, but as Pastor Greg Laurie shares in this Sunday morning episode, Jesus can take our endings and turn them into new beginnings! Listen in for much-needed encouragement from the life of the apostle Peter in Mark 14. It?s the latest in our series, The Gospel for Busy People.  Notes We see problems, God sees solutions. We see failure, God sees potential. We see an end and God sees a new beginning. God can take our endings and turn them into beginnings. Read: Mark 14:27?31 NLT Every temptation has a way out. ?Happy is the person who patiently endures testing and temptation.? ?James 1:12 God has built a wall of protection around you! When God allows us to go through fiery trials, He has a purpose. ?If I could hear Christ praying for me in the next room I would not fear a million enemies. Yet distance makes no difference. He is praying for me.? ?Robert Murray M'Cheyne 1. Peter?s first step down was self-confidence. Many men in Scripture fell in the area they were known to be strong in. 2. Peter?s second step down was a result of prayerlessness. Mark 14:37?40 Prayerlessness can be as much a sin as breaking a commandment.   3. Peter fell because he trusted human efforts instead of God?s power. Mark 14:46?47 4. Peter fell because he was warming himself at the enemy?s fire. Mark 14:66?68 ?He went in and sat with the servants to see the end.? ?Matthew 26:58 5. Peter?s fifth step down was his denial. Peter?s setback stands as an example of the fact that nobody is above falling into sin.
