In Seminole County, Florida, an anonymous tip set off an investigation that quickly escalated from a possible school threat into something far more disturbing. At the center of it all were 15-year-old Isabelle Valdez and her friend Lois Lippert, two teens investigators soon discovered were connected to a chilling plan already in motion. On Halloween night, 2001, Columbia, Missouri, was quiet until the body of Kent Heitholt, a beloved sports editor for the Columbia Daily Tribune, was found brutally beaten and strangled in the newspaper?s parking lot.
