Just before 2 a.m. on May 14, 2008, 19-year-old Brandon Swanson called his parents from a gravel road in southwestern Minnesota. His car was stuck in a ditch and he needed a ride. His parents drove out to find him but they were actually 25 miles apart. Forty-seven minutes into the call with his father, Brandon said two words and the line went silent. Brandon was never found. This week, Kaelyn is joined by Sabrina Deana-Roga and Alexis Linkletter, hosts of Crimes Of Reddit, to unpack the night Brandon Swanson walked into the dark.

Around 1 a.m. on October 15, 2018, a 911 call came from a house on a rural stretch outside Barron, Wisconsin. Deputies arrived four minutes later to a kicked-in front door and found James and Denise Closs shot dead inside. But their 13-year-old daughter Jayme was gone. Thousands of tips and volunteer searchers turned up nothing. Until, 88 days later and 70 miles north, a woman walking her dog found a girl who told her to call the police. This week, Morgan and Kaelyn unpack the crime, the 88 days Jayme spent in a stranger's home, and what happened after she escaped.

Instagram: @morgsyabsher | @itskaelynmooreTikTok: @twohottakes | @heartstartspoundingIn August 2010, MI6 codebreaker Gareth Williams was found dead inside a padlocked North Face duffel bag in the bathtub of his London safe house. No fingerprints. No signs of struggle. No DNA. His phone and computers had been wiped, and weeks had passed before anyone even reported him missing. Investigators couldn't determine how the bag was locked from the inside — and a coroner ruled it would have been almost impossible to do alone. Was it a covert operation gone wrong, a personal encounter turned deadly, or something the intelligence community has never wanted the public to know? Morgan and Kaelyn unpack the secrets, the silence, and the shadowy world behind one of Britain's most baffling unsolved deaths.

On April 10th, 1997, 50-year-old Judy Smith stepped out of her honeymoon hotel in Philadelphia while her husband attended a conference. She never returned.
Five months later, her partial remains were found in a shallow grave deep inside the Pisgah National Forest in North Carolina, 600 miles away. She was wearing clothing no one recognized. Her own belongings were gone. Items left at the scene may have belonged to the person who killed her.
In this episode, Morgan and Kaelyn follow the clues: a forgotten ID that delayed her trip, sightings of Judy in Asheville days after she vanished, a troubled five-month marriage, a mystery car no one could trace, and the haunting question of who led her into those woods.
No arrests have ever been made.

On the night of December 27, 2011, Russ Faria came home to find his wife Betsy dead on the living room floor in Troy, Missouri — stabbed over fifty times. He called 911. He was convicted of her murder. Then he was freed. Then prosecutors tried again. The case of Betsy Faria is not just a murder mystery — it's a story about tunnel vision, a justice system that locked onto the wrong man, and the real killer who walked free for years while an innocent person sat behind bars. Morgan and Kaelyn trace every turn in a case that became a masterclass in how badly things can go wrong.

In January 2023, Ana Walshe was reported missing from her home in Cohasset, Massachusetts. Within days, investigators searching a trash transfer station made a discovery that shocked the nation. Her husband Brian Walshe, who had told police he didn't know where she was, led a trail of evidence straight back to himself a trail built from bloody items, a hacksaw, and purchases made at a Home Depot the morning after she was last seen. Morgan and Kaelyn follow the investigation that unraveled a marriage, a lie, and a crime that prosecutors say Brian tried to erase piece by piece.

On the night of November 13, 2010, newlyweds Anni and Shrien Dewani were riding through Cape Town when their taxi was hijacked in Gugulethu township. Shrien was forced out of the car. Anni was not. Hours later, her body was found in the abandoned vehicle — shot once in the neck. What followed was one of the most controversial murder cases of the decade: a grieving husband, an explosive accusation, a years-long extradition battle spanning two continents, and a verdict that left millions asking if justice was ever truly served. Morgan and Kaelyn trace the evidence from a South African township to the courts of London, and ask the question that still divides the public — what really happened on that honeymoon night?

Morgan, Kaelyn, and special guest Annie Elise of 10 to Life trace all 10 clues... from the chest freezer Richard bought five days before Helle vanished, to the 2,660 strands of blonde hair found in a pile of wood chips, to the tooth fragment that made this the first no-body murder conviction in Connecticut history.

On June 23, 2021, twenty-four-year-old geologist Daniel Robinson drove his Jeep out to a work site in the Arizona desert near Buckeye and vanished. His vehicle was found weeks later, rolled down a ravine miles from where he'd last been seen. His remains have never been found. Daniel was Black, and his father David spent years doing the searching that authorities seemed reluctant to do driving the desert himself, refusing to let his son become a footnote. Morgan and Kaelyn examine a disappearance full of unanswered questions, and the family that would not stop demanding them.

On the night of June 22nd, 2017, 27-year-old Egypt Covington went to yoga, texted her boyfriend goodnight, and went to bed. The next evening, he found her on the floor of her living room... tied up with Christmas lights... killed by a single gunshot wound to the head. It was the middle of June.
No forced entry. No robbery. No obvious motive.
For three years, local police chased the wrong leads and publicly named an innocent man as a person of interest. All while sitting on a geofence warrant that had the answer from the start.
It took Egypt's family, a 14,000-signature petition, and a transfer to the Michigan State Police to finally get the truth.
Morgan and Kaelyn trace every clue... from the Christmas lights, to the bright blue truck caught on a gas station camera, to the DNA match that finally put names to a senseless crime.

On December 18, 2011, twenty-three-year-old Phoenix Coldon got into her car in St. Louis, Missouri and drove off the map. Her car was found the same day, abandoned with the engine still running and her belongings inside. Phoenix was not. No confirmed sightings. No credible leads. No body. Her mother Goldia has spent over a decade searching for answers with almost no support from authorities. Morgan and Kaelyn sit with the silence of one of Missouri's most haunting cold cases, and ask why a young Black woman could vanish into thin air without the world demanding she be found.

An eight-year-old girl stops going to school.
No one reports her missing for nearly three weeks.
Not the shelter.
Not the school.
Not even her own family.
In 2014, Relisha Rudd vanished from a Washington, D.C. family shelter. The only adult who claimed to know where she was turned out not to be a doctor, but a shelter janitor.
Days later, his wife was found murdered. Weeks later, he was found dead in a park. Relisha has never been found.
In this episode of Clues, we examine the surveillance footage, the hotel sightings, the trash bag purchase, and the systemic failures that may have cost a little girl her life.
Listener discretion advised. This episode discusses child abuse, child sexual exploitation, domestic violence, and suicide.

She was days away from a major race.
A rising star in cycling.
Then, she was found shot to death in a friend’s apartment.
At first, nothing made sense:
No forced entry.
No robbery.
No clear suspect.
But as investigators followed the evidence, the case unraveled into something far more disturbing; involving obsession, digital surveillance, and a suspect who would flee the country and attempt to disappear.

On May 2nd, 2015, five-year-old Inga Gehricke disappeared from a family barbecue in the remote German countryside.
More than 1,000 people searched the forest. Helicopters scanned 8,600 acres. Search dogs tracked for days. They didn’t find a single trace.
Nearly a decade later, investigators still have no physical evidence. So what happened to Inga?
Was she abducted by a stranger? Targeted by a known predator? Or taken by someone she trusted?
In this episode of Clues, we break down the seven key clues in one of Germany’s most haunting unsolved disappearances, and the investigative missteps that may have cost precious time.
Listener discretion advised. This episode discusses child abduction, child sexual abuse material, and serious mental illness.

A mother makes a difficult choice.
When Latice Sutton learned her daughter had been arrested, she believed she’d be safest spending the night in custody.
But just after midnight, Mitrice Richardson was released — without a phone, without transportation, and without anyone notified.
Hours later, a homeowner spotted her six miles away in the dark hills of Malibu Canyon. Then she was gone.
We ask the question her family still demands an answer to: Should she ever have been released that night?

In July 2017, 49-year-old Nanette Krentel was found inside her burning home in Lacombe, Louisiana. At first, it appeared to be a tragic house fire. But an autopsy revealed a shocking detail: Nanette had been shot in the head before the fire began and there was no soot in her lungs.
She had been alive that morning, running errands and returning to her isolated 100-acre property. So who entered her home, killed her, and set the blaze?
In this episode of Clues, Morgan and Kaelyn break down the evidence in the unsolved murder of Nanette Krentel, from gasoline found in the debris and a destroyed security DVR to marriage troubles, threatening letters, and lingering questions about how the investigation was handled.

In June 2017, Ben Renick, a 29 year-old Missouri snake breeder, was found dead inside his reptile barn. At first, rumors spread that one of his massive pythons had killed him.
But the truth was far more chilling: Ben had been shot eight times.
With shell casings on the floor, no stolen snakes, and conflicting alibis, the investigation into the Ben Renick murder case quickly turned toward someone close to him. As detectives uncovered financial strain, secret affairs, a million-dollar life insurance policy, and a jailhouse confession, the story only grew more shocking.
In this episode of Clues, Morgan and Kaelyn break down the timeline, the evidence, and the courtroom twists behind one of Missouri’s most disturbing true crime cases.

In July 1985, 29 year-old Gail Katz-Bierenbaum told a friend she was leaving her husband. She had apartment listings circled, money borrowed, and a psychiatrist’s written warning that her husband might kill her.
The next day, she vanished.
Her husband, Dr. Robert Bierenbaum, claimed she went to Central Park after an argument. But a secret plane rental, an altered flight log, and a history of domestic violence would unravel that story: leading to one of New York’s most notable no-body murder cases.
In this episode of Clues, Morgan and Kaelyn break down the disappearance of Gail Katz-Bierenbaum, the evidence that pointed skyward, and the confession that came decades later.

In the 1990s, women began disappearing from Vancouver’s Downtown East Side: many of them Indigenous, many of them sex workers, many of them dismissed as transient or unreliable. A survivor of a violent 1997 attack identified her assailant as pig farmer Robert Pickton, but the charges were stayed and the investigation stalled. As the list of missing women grew, anonymous tips, witness statements, and internal warnings all pointed back to one property in Port Coquitlam. Morgan and Kaelyn trace the clues that were overlooked, the search that finally uncovered human remains on the farm, and the systemic failures that allowed one of Canada’s most notorious serial killers to operate for years.

In December 2009, 28 year-old Susan Powell vanished from her home in West Valley City, Utah, leaving behind her purse, her keys, and two young sons who would later tell police she went camping with them but didn’t come home. Her husband’s overnight alibi raised immediate questions, and inside the house detectives found bloodstains, cleaned carpet, and missing electronics. But the most chilling clue was waiting inside Susan’s secret safety deposit box: a handwritten statement warning that if she died, it might not be an accident. Morgan and Kaelyn trace the timeline, the contradictions, and the devastating chain of events that followed Susan’s disappearance.

On October 30, 1975, 15-year-old Martha Moxley spent the night before Halloween with friends in the exclusive Belle Haven neighborhood. By morning, she was found beaten to death beneath a tree in her backyard. A shattered 6-iron golf club, conflicting alibis from Tommy and Michael Skakel, the teenage sons of a wealthy, Kennedy-connected family next door, and entries from Martha’s diary guided investigators toward the house beside hers. However, early mistakes and powerful influence clouded the truth. Morgan and Kaelyn unravel the clues in a case where privilege, proximity, and secrecy shaped the search for justice.
