Before the Audiophiliac I was a NYC movie theater (and TV station) projectionist. The stories I can tell.
The Audiophiliac?s not really a show report from CanJam 2022 NYC!

In this episode Steve Guttenberg discusses the real costs of designing, manufacturing, and selling audiophile speakers with Tekton Design's Eric Alexander.
He refers to the costs of his tweeters, mids, and woofers from suppliers SB Acoustics and Eminence.
Later in the episode Eric talks about his yet to be released new recording and playback technology, and his new speaker company that will make bespoke, very high-end speakers.
A lot of us have strong feelings about audio and sound, but too often our opinions are based on old information or with little or no direct experience.

I spoke with Klipsch's Roy Delgado just a few days ago, and we really had a good time! I love the man's sense of humor, he always makes me laugh! He's played a large role in designing the Heresy, Forte, Cornwall, LaScalla, and later versions of the Klipschorn! This time we mostly talked about the Klipsch Jubilee's long history, dating back to 1996! Back then Roy was working with the man himself, Paul W. Klipsch, and the Jubilee was to be the brand's new flagship. Well, it wasn't an easy ride, the Jubilee is just now going into full production!
Here's a Zoom interview I did with Roy a few years ago. https://youtu.be/Jv7JZ5Nptqk
Today the Audiophiliac interviews Zu Audio?s Sean Casey about how he started the company and how it?s evolved since 2000. The pandemic and supply chain issues haven?t been easy to deal with, but Sean seems 100% optimistic about the future.

The Audiophiliac confesses he?s losing interest in playing CDs, he?s streaming more and more music from Tidal and Qobuz. AND he?s playing more LPs than he has in years! He was a restless audiophile before he was a reviewer, always looking for new sensations. It?s fun! Not for everyone, but it is for some of us.

My friend Michael?s hearing aid is made by Phonak, his equalizer is a Schiit Loki.
I visited Nelson Pass at his home in 2019 for a series of interviews for my YouTube channel. This is where we started, it was a lot of fun.
My friend Brent Butterworth provides a rundown of "Apocalypse CES" and the state of the audio convention. Brent writes for Soundstage Global and Wirecutter. Check out his full CES report on Soundstage Global, https://soundstageglobal.com/
