On November 16, 2012, 37-year-old Cari Farver was reported missing by her mother, Nancy, after she suddenly stopped showing up for work and answering calls. No one had seen Cari since the morning of November 13, but her phone was active, sending messages and posting online, making it seem like she hadn?t disappeared at all. Still, Nancy was adamant something was wrong. The messages didn?t sound like Cari.

As detectives began looking into Cari?s disappearance, they started receiving reports that she was stalking and threatening multiple people. On July 9, 1993, Stephanie Wasilishin, a mother of two, was shot in Sedona, Arizona, with her boyfriend present as the only other adult in the home. Prosecutors ultimately declined to file charges, citing insufficient evidence and conflicting accounts from the suspect. Ruled a homicide by the medical examiner, the case has remained unresolved for over three decades, with Stephanie's daughter Nikki continuing to fight for answers into her mother's death.

On July 31, 2022, Dominic Russo and Davion Flanagan were killed in Strongsville, Ohio, when Mackenzie Shirilla intentionally drove her car into a brick wall at over 100 mph. Both men were pronounced dead at the scene. Judge Nancy Margaret Russo found Shirilla guilty of 12 felony counts and sentenced her to two concurrent life sentences with the possibility of parole after 15 years.

Brandy Lynn Hall was a 32-year-old firefighter and mother of two from Brevard County, Florida, who vanished on the evening of August 17th, 2006, after leaving her volunteer fire station in Malabar. On April 2, 2026, the Colorado Court of Appeals reversed the conviction of  Letecia Stauch and ordered a retrial after finding that a biased juror had been improperly allowed to deliberate. On a Sunday evening in March of 2013, 53 year old Aliza Sherman went to meet with her divorce lawyer in downtown Cleveland, just days before her long and bitter divorce was set to go to trial. She never made it inside. Instead, she was found stabbed to death on the sidewalk outside the office door. Her purse was still with her, her SUV was parked nearby, she was still wearing all of her jewelry. Nothing about it looked like a random act of violence, yet nothing about it made any sense. 

For years, Aliza?s murder lingered in that terrible space between mystery and suspicion, where answers feel close enough to touch, but never close enough to hold. But as time passed, the case began to expose something even more chilling than the attack itself. On March 16, 2026, a Utah jury convicted Kouri Richins of murder in the fentanyl poisoning death of her husband Eric. Prosecutors alleged she spiked his Moscow Mule with nearly five times a lethal dose of fentanyl. The case gained attention after Richins wrote a children's book to help her young sons cope with their father's death, before being arrested for his murder. She faces 25 years to life in prison, with sentencing scheduled for May 13.

Dan Davis, 59, disappeared from the Chicago area in the early morning hours of November 25, 2025, after being involved in a car accident and dropped off at his workplace by police. Anna Kepner was an 18-year-old from Florida found dead aboard a Carnival cruise ship in November 2025. Her death was ruled a homicide, and her 16-year-old stepbrother has now been charged in connection with her death. Authorities have not publicly released full details of the charges or evidence, and the case remains under seal as legal proceedings continue.

Investigators found evidence of foul play and have treated the case as a potential kidnapping. Surveillance footage of the potential kidnapper has been released, and possible DNA evidence has now been found.

In September 2007, 20-year-old American college student Amanda Knox moved to Perugia, Italy to study abroad and experience life on her own. Davis III, a 59-year-old Chicago area bar employee, has been missing since November 25, 2025, after being involved in a car accident and later leaving his workplace in Merrionette Park, Illinois. Authorities and Davis?s family continue their search efforts amid concerns he may be disoriented after a possible medical episode. Chicago Police are seeking assistance in locating him.

In September 2007, 20-year-old American college student Amanda Knox moved to Perugia, Italy to study abroad and experience life on her own. Authorities in Pennsylvania have arrested 34-year-old Jonathan Gerlach after an investigation into grave robberies led to the recovery of more than 100 human skeletal remains, including skulls, mummified parts, and decomposing torsos. On the evening of December 30, 2019, 42-year-old Chad Entzel headed out to his weekly bowling league in Bismarck, North Dakota. Friends said he was in good spirits, laughing and joking like always, before heading home for what should have been an ordinary night. But over the next several days, Chad stopped answering calls, didn?t show up for work, and seemed to vanish inside his own home - until a 911 call on January 2 reported a fire at the property.

When firefighters arrived, they found more than just smoke and flames. Inside the primary bedroom was Chad?s body, a propane heater, and a shotgun. At first glance, it looked like a suicide and accidental fire. Hollywood director Rob Reiner and his wife, Michele Singer Reiner, were found dead with apparent stab wounds in their Brentwood, Los Angeles home on December 14, 2025, and their son, Nick Reiner, was arrested and charged with first-degree murder in connection with the killings.
