If you?ve been walking out this Christian life for any length of time, you have probably been called to love someone even when it hurts. Maybe it is hard because they don?t love you back or maybe it is painful to watch what they are going through. That is the case with my guest Julie Boit. For two decades she has been called to the intersection of faith, global health, and human dignity, to impact the care of babies, children, and adults in Kenya, many of whom have been on their deathbed from HIV. Juli describes her journey as being marked by equal parts trauma and wonder as God has shown up over and over again to heal her heart in the process of using her hands to help heal and comfort others.

Parenting in this day and age can seem daunting. While we are in the thick of it, it can be hard to know if what we are doing is making a positive difference. So I decided to ask our oldest, who is about to start her senior year of college, what we did as parents that helped her. We could?ve spent a series on what we did wrong, but today we focused on the three things that we did that our daughter, Trinity Baker, felt has helped to set her up for success.
