In 1991, Tobias Tubbs was wrongfully convicted and sentenced to death (Life Without the Possibility of Parole) as a youth offender. He then spent three decades within some of the most dangerous and inhumane prisons that California has to offer, where he not only survived these years, but thrived through his adoption of Loving-Kindness Mindful Practice.

 

Due to Tobias's incredible healing work with thousands of prisoners and staff during a 28-year period, as well as his profound advocacy to terminate sentences like his own, he was commuted his sentence and released to his community, where he continues to engage in his incredible healing work and advocacy for the incarcerated and their communities. 

 

Tubbs currently serves as Co-Founder/Owner of Create Good Ventures, where he advises, creates, and invests in good social enterprises.

Jeff Orlowski?s latest film ?The Social Dilemma? had its world premiere at the 2020 Sundance Film Festival and was penned as the #2 most watched documentary on Netflix, reaching 38 million households in 28 days! He is also the director, producer, and cinematographer of the award-winning films ?Chasing Coral? a?nd ??Chasing Ice?.? ??Chasing Coral?? received the US Documentary Audience Award at Sundance in 2017. ??Chasing Ice?? received the Documentary Cinematography award at Sundance in 2012 and was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Original Song. Both films were shortlisted for an Academy Award for Best Documentary, screened at Congress and the United Nations, and have garnered awards and accolades from film festivals around the globe. Jeff founded Exposure Labs, a production company dedicated to impact through film.

Maggie Rose is an Emmy award-winning songwriter and Nashville recording artist originally hailing from Potomac, Maryland. She has toured with Kelly Clarkson, Heart, Joan Jett, Sheryl Crow, and more. She has performed at the Grand Ole Opry over 75 times, as well as Bonnaroo, CMA Music Fest, Bourbon and Beyond, AmericanaFest, and the list goes on.
