Turning a time of difficulty into a season of transformation seems to be today?s guest, Dede Raad?s (perhaps better known as DressUpButtercup), superpower.
After being laid off from her job in oil + gas back in 2015, Dede began sharing personal life updates on what was, back then, the unpaved industry of blogging. Since that time, Dede has grown her community to over 1 *million* followers on Instagram, was named a top creator by Forbes' 'Fortune Creator 25' list, collaborated with Vince Camuto on their first ever influencer collection and created a top tier talent management agency, Trend, with her husband, Ted.
But there is so much more than meets the eye with this trendsetting content creator. Growing up with immigrant parents, Dede knew all too well what it felt like to have a story others couldn?t relate to. And this, she vulnerably says, is her reason and purpose behind sharing so transparently on the internet today.
Tune into this inspirational conversation to hear:
Exactly how Dede began in the influencer space after being laid off from her 9-5Dede?s amazing mindset of gratitude that has helped her process the grief of losing both parentsHow to focus on your calling to make your dreams a realityThe story behind her highschool romance turned marriage and now 3 childrenHow Mallory and Dede are in their chicken eraDede is truly one of a kind and her story is sure to inspire you into action - as well as encourage you to hug your loved ones a little closer today.

In today?s episode, I continue this mini-series with a topic that is very near and dear to my heart. Legacy has been a bit of an obsession in my family, and I will be talking about it in a different way for you today. We tend not to think about legacy until someone has died or until we are nearing death ourselves, but I want to share a life-changing perspective that will change everything for you. Attachments to bad things?or even good things?can become really unhealthy for us if we let them. Today, I?m going to talk about one of the biggest breakthroughs that I had regarding unhealthy attachments (and how they held me back just as much as addictions and pain avoidance), as well as how important it is to understand the attachments we have and work to not lose sight of ourselves. Everyone experiences loss at some point in their life. Grief and death are things that are, unfortunately, always with us. However, the loss of a child is unimaginable to so many, and something that no mother or father should ever have to go through. My sister Jade Cherwak went through such a loss with her son Blaise, inspiring so many in the way she was able to handle one of the most traumatic events that can happen to someone with grace and strength. So, in this episode, Jade will be sharing her story.
