Battling Pandemics With Dr. Anne Rimoin

There's so much happening regarding COVID right now, so we figured we should check in with an expert and try to get facts on how to be smart and stay safe these days. Dr. Anne Rimoin is a leading epidemiologist and expert in pandemics, having worked in public health on ebola virus for years. She?s a Professor of Epidemiology at the UCLA Fielding School of Public Health and Infectious Disease Division of the Geffen School of Medicine. Anne is the Director of the Center for Global and Immigrant Health and is an expert on emerging infections, global health, surveillance systems, and vaccination. She's also currently leading several studies of COVID-19.

Anne talked all things COVID. She told Hilaria and Daphne about when she thinks the vaccine will roll out, how/why masks work, and that they do help, and she gives context by discussing history. Anne gives us lots to think about, and was honest and open about the scientific community not doing a great job at communicating with the public, and that any and every question from the public is valid and should be answered. Plus a very welcomed dose of optimism, that we WILL get through this.

'Stepmother' is No Dirty Word to Lisa Edelstein

Lisa Edelstein is the actress you know from numerous series and is currently in Netflix's final season of The Kaminsky Method. She was also in The West Wing, Ally McBeal, House and she was the lead in Bravo's Girlfriends' Guide to Divorce. "Let's Talk About Sex Bay-Bee" With Dr. Lea Lis

If you're dreading the day you have to have "the sex talk" with your kids, this is the episode for you. We talked with Dr. Lea Lis (a.k.a ?The Shameless Psychiatrist?) all about getting into the birds and the bees with our kids. She's a double board-certified Adult and Child Psychiatrist and an Assistant Clinical Professor at New York Medical College, who's active in the American Psychiatric Association. She discusses how sex is addressed differently between cultures, whether it's in Europe or the U.S. and there are many approaches. Raising Awareness About Child Sexual Abuse With The Child Rescue Coalition

This episode of Mom Brain covers a difficult topic, but it's a discussion that is necessary for the safety of children everywhere. The Child Rescue Coalition is a nonprofit organization doing an incredible job in the fight against child sexual abuse. Danielle Fishel Karp Stays Positive

Claire Holt On The Importance of Family

Sara Haines Didn't Make Us Cry This Time But We Laughed Even More

One of our favorite Mom Brain guests, Sara Haines is back! You know her most recently as the co-anchor of the third hour of ABC's Good Morning America, Strahan, Sara & Keke, and now she's filling in on The View. She was a former correspondent on the Today Show, ABC News, and Good Morning America. Plus, she was a co-host of The View for two seasons. This super mom lives in Brooklyn with her husband Max and their three children.

Front Line Mom | Dr. Hina Talib

There are so many amazing moms doing incredible things in the world and we want to shed some light on some of the unsung hero moms working on the front lines of the Covid-19 Pandemic. Hina Talib, MD is a board-certified Pediatrician and Adolescent Medicine sub-specialist, practicing at the Children?s Hospital at Montefiore in New York City, one of the Coronavirus? hardest hit Burroughs, Bronx NY at the height of the pandemic. You might not realize it, but Angela Santomero is more than likely a seminal figure to your kids.
