Introducing: The Apology Line

If you could call a number and say you?re sorry, and no one would know?what would you
apologize for? For fifteen years, you could call a number in Manhattan and do just that. This is
the story of the line and the man at the other end who became consumed by his own creation.
He was known as ?Mr. Apology.? As thousands of callers flooded the line, confessing to
everything from shoplifting to infidelity, drug dealing to murder, Mr. Apology realized he couldn?t
just listen. He had to do something, even if it meant risking everything. From Wondery the
makers of Dr. Death and The Shrink Next Door comes a story about empathy, deception, and
obsession. Marissa Bridge, who knew Mr. Apology better than anyone, hosts this six-episode
series. Listen today at http://wondery.fm/Murderish .

?Holly Washa, Delayed Justice? | MURDERISH Ep. 074

On May 27th, 1991, a call came in to the front desk of the Palm Springs Ramada Inn. The caller was 33-year-old Susan Schnell, a guest at the hotel. Shockingly, Schnell said that she had been sexually
assaulted and her throat had been slit. The battered woman was in critical condition but fortunately, she survived. Police quickly arrested her attacker. When investigators questioned the man about the attack on Schnell, they got much more than they bargained for. He admitted not only to the abduction and assault of Susan Schnell, but also told police where they could find the body of a young woman in Seattle whom he had murdered the previous Friday. After being alerted of this grisly confession, King County Police soon found the body of a young woman inside the trunk of her own car. The body was identified as being 21-year-old Holly Washa. Join me as I walk you through the case of Holly Washa and her delayed justice.

?Tricia Todd, Faith & Forgiveness? | MURDERISH Ep. 070

In April of 2016, Air Force veteran and hospice nurse Tricia Todd mysteriously vanished from a tranquil beachside town. The 33-year-old mother of one was vivacious, compassionate, and well-liked in her community. No one could ever imagine she would abandon her young daughter, and the notion of someone wanting to harm her was equally unfathomable. Years of secrecy obscured a daunting truth, one that wouldn?t be fully unveiled until it was much too late.

The Abduction of Frank Sinatra Jr. | MURDERISH Ep. 069

The life of a celebrity is often viewed as glamorous, something that you could only dream of achieving. Walking the red carpet, rubbing elbows with A-list celebrities, and hosting lavish parties are all regular occurrences in the life of the rich and famous. This was especially true of Frank Sinatra, singer extraordinaire and mega-celebrity who was connected to a lot of powerful people. Sinatra, known as The Chairman of the Board, had connections to some of the highest seats in government. His fame also led him to be deeply connected with the mob. Sinatra was a huge star, so when his teenage son, Frank Jr., went missing in December of 1963 the world took notice. Did Sinatra?s connections with the mob lead to his son?s abduction, or could this have all been a self-planned ruse for Junior to get out from under his father?s shadow and make a name for himself? Join me as I walk you through the abduction of Frank Sinatra Jr.

"Stranger in my Bedroom," Breakdown w/ Dr. Shiloh | BONUS episode

In a very early episode of MURDERISH, I chronicled my personal story. When I was 18 years old, a man followed me home and came into my bedroom. That episode is titled ?A Stranger in my Bedroom.? If you haven?t listened to it yet, I recommend that you listen to that episode first and then come back to listen to this episode.

In this BONUS episode, I speak with Dr. Shiloh, Forensic Psychologist, and Co-Creator/Co-Host of LA Not So Confidential podcast. Dr. Shiloh gave her insight on the perpetrator who took so many risks that night over 20 years ago. Sexual assault is discussed during our conversation, however, we don?t go into any great detail. Please use discretion. Join me as Dr. Shiloh and I rehash the night a stranger followed me home and entered my bedroom.

Henry Glover, "The Cover-Up" | MURDERISH Ep. 059

Hurricane Katrina, which slammed into the Louisiana coast on August 29, 2005, was the most damaging hurricane in US history. The devastating disaster killed approximately 1,200 people, with most of the destruction occurring in and around the city of New Orleans. Looting in the city was rampant during this time, as most stores were abandoned. People were taking food, water, and other supplies ...many out of necessity. Allegations arose of police officers also looting stores during the disaster. The alleged looting by some police officers, however, would take a backseat to more serious crimes involving citizens being shot by police officers in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina. This episode covers the death of a man at the hands of those sworn to protect him. Join me as I walk you through the case involving Henry Glover.

Introducing | For Life: The Podcast

In today?s episode, you?re going to hear a sneak peek for a new podcast. For Life: The Podcast is a series that dives into true stories of people who were wrongfully convicted. Unfortunately, it?s estimated that thousands of people are wrongfully convicted every year in the US. For a select few, their wrongful conviction is not where their story ends, it?s actually just the beginning. Against the odds, some wrongfully convicted people emerge as warriors for justice, and they do it with grace and a strong sense of purpose.

For Life: The Podcast is from Sony Pictures Television and ABC Television. The Podcast is in collaboration with the new scripted drama series FOR LIFE, produced by Curtis ?50 Cent? Jackson, and inspired by the life of the show?s host, Isaac Wright Jr. Wright was wrongfully convicted of drug charges in 1991, and sentenced to spend the rest of his life in prison. In prison, Wright taught himself the law, and as a paralegal, he was able to help fellow inmates get reduced sentences. He even got some inmates released from their own wrongful convictions. Wright eventually triumphed and was able to get his own conviction overturned. Wright eventually became a lawyer and has continued to seek justice for those in need. For Life: The Podcast explores other true stories of injustice, tests of character, love, faith, and triumphs of spirit. The Podcast debut?s 2.11.20 and is available wherever you listen to podcasts. Chicken Coop Murders - Serial Killer, Stewart Northcott | MURDERISH Ep. 038

In February of 1928, Stewart Northcott would commit his first known murder. He would go on to become a serial killer, who preyed on adolescent boys. Stewart lived on a chicken ranch in Wineville, CA (now named Mira Loma). The ranch would become a house of horrors for his victims, which included his own nephew. Shockingly, Stewart?s crimes became a family affair, with his mother playing a prominent role in carrying out the brutal slayings that occurred on the chicken ranch. The chicken coop murders have inspired movies and tv shows, and motivated a community to change its name in order to wash away the memories of what happened there.
