Off-Broadway, how she does Christmas, flying squirrels, the ?Victorious? spin-off ?Hollywood Arts? and so much more. And what about that lost Liz interview?

Humbe on ?Fantasmas,? Going Independent, Love, and New Album ?DUEÑO DEL CIELO?

Hailing from Monterrey, Mexico, 25-year-old singer Humbe joins us on the couch for the first ? with his furry tail ? to discuss his new album, ?DUEÑO DEL CIELO,? the conclusion to his album trilogy, a 22 track epic! We discuss the inspiration behind his opus, recorded in Iceland, with his brother, fueled by beer and chicken tenders, with a contribution from an Uber Miami driver in Miami.

Plus we dig into the stories behind his biggest songs ?Fantasmas,? ?Te Lo Premeto,? and a bunch of cuts off his new record too, including ?Ashwaganda,? which is indeed about the plant that?s purported to ease anxiety. In addition to all this we discuss cats, falling in love, how going independent shifted his fortunes, the loss of his grandad, and so much more.

Joey McIntyre Talks New Kids On The Block, ?Stay the Same,? Robbie Williams, & ?Jingle Bell Wedding?

Joey McIntyre is a real one. The youngest of nine kids, the youngest member of New Kids On The Block ? forget Backstreet Boys, N*SYNC, all that, these guys were first ? this Boston-born singer and actor is a creative powerhouse with a wry and quick wit.

He joins us on the couch to discuss his new Christmas movie ?Jingle Bell Wedding? (out on Roku), but of course we had to get into the NKOTB lore: the group?s near-organic formation, what it was like joining the group at 12, the emotional toll, his voice breaking, going solo (with some serious independent chutzpah), reuniting and woah, those New Kids cruises really sounded like a doozy (just google Joey McIntyre, naked cowboy).

We also talk about his friendship with Debbie Gibson and Robbie Williams, his latest solo album ?Freedom,? his 2017 Curb Your Enthusiasm-esque show ?Return of the Mac,? the live Christmas extravaganza he?s compering in LA called ?Tinselcolor,? and so much more. There?s laughter, there?s tears, don?t miss it.

Formerly a member of Monsta X, and prior to that Nu Boyz, the 32-year-old has been dropping solo songs since 2020. Jutes Talks "It Takes Two," Wedding Details, "Sleepyhead" and New Album "Dilworth"

Jutes returns to the couch barely a year after releasing his last record Sleepyhead to discuss his latest album Dilworth, a collection he sees as Sleepyhead II. (If you?re into nu metal and screamo, you?re in luck.) In the interim he tied the knot with Demi Lovato and Johnny Rzenik from the Goo Goo Dolls performed an acoustic version of ?their song? ?Iris? at the wedding, so of course we had to talk about that. Dior Goodjohn Talks Percy Jackson Season 2, Clarisse?s Love Interests, Making Music, and Naya Rivera

Dior Goodjohn is an exuberant human with a capital E. Sit her on the couch, she just goes, goes, goes, so it?s not surprising that she?s been modeling and acting since she was in single digits? and now she has her sights set on singing too.

We chat about being raised in West Hollywood, her Iranian roots, and of course her biggest role to date, as the spiky Clarisse La Rue, who?s evolving fast and getting more screen time as Disney?s Percy Jackson & the Olympians heads into season 2 (and 3).

Of course we get the skinny on her landing the coveted role, plus she lifts the lid on what it?s like working at Disney, her early years on Head of the Class, her character?s love life (it?s about to get interesting), why she likens herself to Rick Ross, and her memories playing young Santana on the set of Glee. Aaaaand, a lot more inbetween.

Jessi Talks 'Girls Like Me,' Controversy, Marriage, and New EP ?P.M.S.?

Jessi?s back! It?s been a minute since we last talked to her and about a year since she was in the public eye in a serious way. She had to take a break, the situation got cleared up, but she?s still clearly feeling the repercussions ? and here, for the first time, she sets the record straight. Now she?s back with her new EP P.M.S., kicking off with her addictive new single ?Newsflash? with Jadakiss.

She?s as fiery, funny, and unconventional as ever, but for all her feistyness the 36-year-old is vulnerable too and she?s keen to show this side of herself, not only in music, but in conversation. We talk about her childhood in Jersey, getting bullied and her subsequent glow up. Moving to Korea to make outside of the idol system, and winding up on reality show Unpretty Rapstar! She also discusses working with PSY (and other different labels), trying to make space for love (we fill her in on the existence of Raya and her brain is blown), plus so much more!

Nathy Peluso Talks New Salsa EP ?MALPORTADA,? Esmeralda, BZRP, and Phil Collins

Argentinian-born, Barcelona-based creative powerhouse Nathy Peluso joins us in the studio to talk about it all: her beginnings studying theatre and writing poetry for cash, on the spot on a typewriter on the streets of Barca, and how she moved from rapping to singing to her latest salsa EP, MALPORTADA, a genre that?s been a guiding force for her since childhood. We discuss her thoughts on what salsa purists might think, male rappers getting riled up when she swooped in and snagged the Latin Grammy for ?Aprender a Amar? back in 2024 (she?s won four in total).

We also get into her love for Phil Collins and his connection to the album she scrapped before 2024?s Grasa (will it ever see the light of day?!), how she lost and found her pleasure center, the difference between salsa sung by men vs women, plus did she just get married in Vegas?!

We talk about all this plus her early years from interning at a London record studio to getting signed by Jay Z and moving to NYC, not to mention her dance roots, this new era and ? oh my god ? collaborating with Taika on (amongst other projects) a musical inspired by the hilarious catastrophe that was Fyre Festival with music by, wait for it, Adele (and her longtime collaborator/songwriter Paul Epworth). Allie X Talks 7th Floor, Reunite, and New Album "Happiness Is Going To Get You"

It?s only been 18 months since we last had Allie X on the couch talking about her third album Girl with No Face, but she?s already back with her new, fourth record, Happiness Is Going to Get You ? a quasi-concept things of wonder, a repetitive piano note which begins the album and rings out as its closing coda. A record that centers around the time traveling hirsute character that is Infant Marie, with songs that examine male emotional repression, reuniting with oneself, a shitty uncle as a metaphor for the music industry, and so much more.

We talk about all this plus Allie X versus Allie Hughes, the beauty and sadness of trying to stay naive, songwriting for others, hard truths, suffering for one?s art, and most importantly how Allie is going to teach Zach how to sing. Ejae Talks "Golden," KPop Demon Hunters and "In Another World"

Hot on the heels of our interview with Audrey Nuna ? the singing voice of Mira in KPop Demon Hunters ? we?ve got Ejae in the hot seat. Her journey to become the singing voice of Rumi is pretty different. The Korean-American singer spent 11 years as a trainee and was dropped before she debuted, ultimately finding her way into songwriting, via Tisch School of Arts, and even returning to the very KPop company who dropped her to pen hits for other acts like Red Velvet, Twice, and Le Sserafim.

We get the skinny on what it was really like being K-pop trainee, why she was dropped, what Tisch was like (her classmates included Lauv, Phoebe Ryan, and Fletcher), and how she broke into songwriting, eventually leading to her writing the pop juggernaut that is ?Golden? (Grammy nominated!), not to mention a bunch of the other songs on the soundtrack. And let?s just say writing for film is very different than writing for a pop group.

Rei Ami, Audrey Nuna, and Ejae have only recently started performing live together and Ejae?s still getting her feet wet when it comes to the stage ? it can be panic-inducing ? so we also get into that, plus her debut solo single ?In Another World,? and so much more!

Kathy Griffin Talks Facelifts, My Life on the D-List, Donald Trump and New Comedy Special

Kathy Griffin needs no introduction. This fiery redhead has been making people laugh and causing a ruckus with her unapologetic tea-spilling celebrity anecdotes since the 90s. A self-proclaimed stand-up addict, she joins us in the studio for the first time ever ? on her 65th birthday ? to talk about her weekly YouTube show, Talk Your Head Off, and her new comedy special, also on YouTube, My Life On the PTSD List. The title is of course a play on her groundbreaking, Emmy-winning reality show My Life On the D List, which was one of the genre and era-defining Bravo shows in the 2000s, and now it?s also on, you guessed it, YouTube. All for free.

We talk about all this, plus her new face (it?s her third), getting thrown out of Paris Hilton?s party, Kris Jenner, body dysmorphia, how she manages to maintain relationships when she?s always being so delightfully, hilariously, and publicly indiscreet. This woman has more comedy specials than any other comedian, man or woman! Plus we discuss Joan Rivers, falling out with Anderson Cooper, Andy Cohen, talking crap about Jerry Seinfeld, Ellen, dating Quentin Tarantino and Steve Wozniak (not at the same time).

We also dig into what was the most seismic moment of her life: when photographer Tyler Shields snapped a shot of her holding up a rubber mask of Trump covered in ketchup. It sparked a chain of overreactions from the President that saw her put on the no-fly list and investigated like a terrorist. So much for free speech! It tanked her career for seven years, and led to a series of really dark periods with drugs and suicidal ideation that also coincided with her losing her mom, the pandemic, getting lung cancer even though she never smoked! Woof. This convo is a wild ride and Zach and Dan definitely get a roasting too.

Hayley Kiyoko Talks Getting Engaged, Girls Like Girls, Lemonade Mouth, and New Novel

Lesbian Jesus ? so anointed by her fans ? is a force to be reckoned with. Artist, actor, director, dancer, New York Times bestselling author. It?s wild! And we?ve finally got her on the couch to discuss her newest novel, the Victorian-set, YA page-turner, Where There?s Room For Us. She discusses the novel?s inception ? inspired by her meet-cute with her now fiancé Becca Tilley (of The Bachelor) ? and we find out all about her proposal too.

We also do some deep dives into her acting catalogue from Disney?s Lemonade Mouth to Jem and the Holograms, which was directed by John M. Chu! Jem was also where Kiyoko met Stefanie Scott who she cast in the ?Girls Like Girls? music video and who she ended up co-writing the screenplay for Girls Like Girls the movie? which is on the way.

We discuss all of that, not to mention her upbringing in a creative household, the landscape for musicians these days versus even ten years ago, and also the landscape for queer artists, plus so much more. Make sure to check out the audiobook as well because Kiyoko?s got none other than actor Jemima Kirke voicing the character of Freya.

Cortis Talks GO!, FaSHioN and Debut EP "COLOR OUTSIDE THE LINES"

CORTIS are not like other K-pop crews. Yes they ultimately trained like idols, but the quintet spent years within Big Hit Music as songwriters/producers for others ? they knew of each other before they were actually brought together as a group (more on that in their interview). They only just debuted with their first EP Color Outside the Lines this past September and the collection pops. Featuring a stellar collaboration with Teeezo Touchdown, their songs like ?FaSHioN? (inspired by a trip vintage shopping on Fairfax in LA) showcase a harder edge, a certain nod to heroes Brockhampton, Odd Future, and ASAP Mobb, while ?JoyRide? offers a melancholy, emo-tinged vibe (despite the title).

Most notably James, Juhoon, Martin, Seonghyeon, Keonho are humming with ideas, shooting and editing many of their own videos before blowing out the budget and heading to farflung places like the snowy mountains of New Zealand to make more MVs. By their own admission, they?re still teenagers (okay, James just turned 20), they want to have fun, eat good food, and go vintage shopping because full price designer threads aren?t exactly in budget. Songs about girls? Right now they?re not interested. We discuss all this and more on their first time on the couch. Definitely one of South Korea?s most exciting and authentic new groups.

Justice Smith Talks 'Now You See Me,' Dungeons and Dragons, Pikachu, and 'I Saw the TV Glow'

Justice Smith has been carving a name for himself since his big break in Baz Lurhmann?s The Get Down (2016) as an actor who balances big blockbusters with hefty legacies and built-in fanbases (Jurassic Park, Pokemon, Dungeons & Dragons), with subversive indie films such as A24?s triumph I Saw The TV Glow with its broader trans metaphor, The American Society of Magical Negroes, and high school TV series Genera+ion.

Now he?s joining the Now You See Me franchise with its latest instalment Now You See Me: Now You Don?t ? alongside Woody Harrelson, Jesse Eisenberg, Isla Fisher, Ariana Greenblatt, Rosamund Pike ? in which he plays a key role that could really run and run.

He joins us on the couch for the first time to discuss this new film, heading to LA?s storied Magic Castle and training to be an illusionist for the role. Plus we find out more about his upbringing in Orange County, his biracial background, acting as catharsis and therapy, and the balance of art and commerce. Is he in the midst of his Saturn returns? The 30-year-old seems to think so, but he?s on such a career streak it?s hard to imagine what his life would look like when his planets are aligned!

Lukas Gage Talks Memoir "I Wrote This For Attention," Smile 2, White Lotus, and Euphoria

Lukas Gage is everywhere. He?s in everything! White Lotus, Euphoria, Smile 2, Love, Victor, Fargo, the film of the year, Companion? and now he has a memoir out, I Wrote This for Attention, which, as you might imagine is a page turner. The San Diego-born actor only turned 30 this year, but he?s definitely lived a life so far.

In the book (and on the couch) he covers his tumultuous upbringing, rebellion, drugs, rehab wilderness camp, and sadly abuse, plus his first decade in Hollywood, hustling hard and dealing with Borderline Personality Disorder, with the same candor and humor he comes to the studio with. If you?re looking for Chris Appleton, Kim Kardashian-officiated marriage tea, it?s mentioned briefly in the book, and we chat about it a bit here, but it?s really the least interesting part of his life and career.

He also discusses getting his a$$ eaten on White Lotus, STDs, trust and abandonment issues, how he deals with BPD, getting accused of queerbaiting, mukbangs, Sam Levinson, eccentric older ladies, Noah Centineo, that viral video, and so much more.

Julia Wolf Talks "In My Room," Twilight, Drake and New Album 'Pressure'

Long Island-born Julia Wolf has been dropping intimate confessionals since 2019, making waves in 2021 with catchy, synthy-pop cuts like ?Resting Bitch Face Pt. 2? and ?Falling In Love,? before signing to a major label and dropping her debut full length Girls In Purgatory that same year.

In 2025 she surprised everyone by dropping her third album, PRESSURE, via AWAL. Not only was she back on her DIY hustle ? she?s often produced her artwork and creative direction from her bedroom base ? but Julia Wolf 2.0, with the help of producer Scro, has pivoted away from her smooth pop grooves to a tougher sound, incorporating distorted riffs, pummelling speed metal drums, and glitchy beats, with Wolf?s voice as the emotive, vulnerable glue. Think Paramore meets Evanescence. And yes there were plenty of industry naysayers who were like, what the hell is this new sound? But she stuck to her guns and just look at her go.

She joins us on the couch to discuss this stylistic pivot and the wild whiplash of the past few years including the viral success of ?In My Room? blowing up on TikTok with a Twilight slideshow, exactly how Drake became a fan and collaborator, teaming up with Machine Gun Kelly on a Goo Goo Dolls cover and their upcoming arena tour. Plus we get into her abiding Twilight obsession (she played the Swan house in Oregon), deep-seated insecurities (?Jennifer?s Body? and what MKG thinks of a track that references his baby momma?s cult film), finding love, ASMR, feeling like a loser in high school, her Italian roots, leaving the East Coast for LA, and so much more.

Mary Elizabeth Winstead Talks The Hand That Rocks The Cradle, Scott Pilgram vs. The World & Sky High

Mary Elizabeth Winstead has, so far, had a wildly diverse career, but there is one genre that continues to crop up again and again ? horror/thrillers are definitely in the 40-year-old?s sweetspot. From her early days on witchy soap Passions to Wolf Lake to Final Destination 3 to 10 Cloverfield Lane to Black Christmas, Winstead loves the rush of being creeped out and freaked out.

The North Carolina-born actor joins us on the couch to discuss her filmography, in particular her latest work, a remake of the 1992 classic The Hand The Rocks The Cradle, this time co-starring next gen scream queen Maika Monroe (It Follows, Longlegs), directed by Mexican filmmaker Michelle Garza in her first major studio motion picture. It?s domestic horror at its most intimate ? channeling the fears and anxieties of new motherhood, while weaving in privilege guilt, and a haunting moral ambiguity. Which, as you might imagine for a new mother herself ? Winstead has a son with husband Ewan McGregor ? was not hard to identify with and tap into.

We discuss all this plus action films, the cult of Ramona Flowers and Scott Pilgrim vs. The World, Quentin Tarantino?s Death Proof, working with Bruce Willis as his daughter in two Die Hard movies, her critically acclaimed turn as an alcoholic groping towards sobriety in indie film Smashed, not to mention meeting Ewan on the set of Fargo the TV series, both of them working in the Star Wars universe, and her early years as an extrovert-turned-introvert finding an outlet in performance.

Madeleine McGraw Talks Black Phone 2, Secrets of Sulphur Springs, Violet McGraw, and Toy Story 4

Actor Madeleine McGraw joins us on the couch for the first time to discuss her return as Gwen ? Finney?s protective younger sister from 2021?s Black Phone ? now back for Black Phone 2. Ethan Hawke?s horrifying character, The Grabber, might have died in the first film, but he?s back too. Turns out his malevolent force can?t be contained by the grave.

Originally based on a short story by Joe Hill ? horror maestro Stephen King?s son ? this sequel finds the siblings several years on from the first installment, now in a wild winter at a kid?s camp. This is a spoiler free episode.

We also talk about the 16-year-old?s beginnings (lots of competitive sport), being a twin, moving into exec producing as well as acting, alongside her younger sister Violet (The Haunting of Hill House, M3GAN). Together they?re sometimes dubbed scream queens or the Blumhouse sisters (a nod to the horror production powerhouse). But hey, this December they?re producing and starring in a Christmas movie. Plus we talk Maddox Batson, voicing Bonnie in ?Toy Story 4,? Disney?s Secret of Sulphur Springs, and so much more. Her enthusiasm is infectious.

Ashnikko Talks New Album 'Smoochies,' "Trinkets," Heartbreak and "Itty Bitty"

We?re joined by Ashnikko IRL for the first time ever ? prior to this it was a pandemic zoom ? and she?s a trip, a delight. Decked out in all her finery, the 29-year-old discusses her latest album Smoochies, easily her best work to date. It?s smart, sassy, sexy, give no-f**ks pop, full of wild wordplay, vivid imagery, and hooks to high heaven. But for all its in your face-ness, Ashnikko?s the absolute master of sneaking vulnerability and realness into her party-pop juggernauts.

We talk about all this, the connection to her last record DEMIDEVIL, how the body keeps the score, breakups and heartbreak hedonism, power dynamics within her own heterosexual and queer relationships, the moreish aspect of success, and the connection between her music and her carefully constructed visual aesthetic.

We also discuss reclaiming sexual depravity from the patriarchy (obviously), the vibes of trinkets and junk, the birth of Ashnikko, f**k-me outfits, sword-making, how she sleeps with her eyes open, killing off a validation system that isn?t helpful (YES!), and so much more. You don?t want to miss this one. Or this album! Smoochies slaps.

Maggie Lindemann Talks New Album 'I Feel Everything,' 2022 and Working with The Warning

Nine years after Khalid joined us on the couch for the first time and he?s back with his new fourth album, After the Sun Goes Down, a hefty record (17 tracks!) that joyful, sexy, and explorative. Hot off the heels of his 2024 record Sincere, it was at the end of that year that Khalid was publicly outed online, thanks to a years-old ex who, in the 27-year-old?s own words, weaponized Khalid?s against him. LANY Talks New Album "Soft," Malibu Nights, Vespa Accidents and 'Ilysb'

LANY join us on the couch for the first time to discuss their sixth album Soft, a collection which reckons with the big stuff that comes along with being in your late 30s. What does acting one?s age really mean? How do you balance the passion for music and your career, and your personal life and family? How do you stay vulnerable and in touch with your emotions ? yes, soft ? in a world that can harden you? The new series reunites Henrie and Selena Gomez as adult versions of their beloved characters, while introducing a whole next-gen cast of young wizards.

Gomez pops in for a few episodes each season ? and yes, David teases what?s up with her in Season 2 ? but she?s also been instrumental behind the scenes, helping bring the reboot to life from casting to marketing. Zac Brown on Playing The Sphere, ?Chicken Fried,? Dolly Parton, Toes, and New Album ?Love & Fear?

Joining us on the couch for the first time ever is Zac Brown, the lynchpin of the Zac Brown Band. For over a year he?s been hunkering down, ideating and prepping for the biggest shows of his life: a residency at The Sphere in Las Vegas kicking off December 5. At the same time he?ll be dropping his eighth album Love & Fear. It?s a record that delves into his personal story and his fraught childhood for the first time ever. What it was like to deal with a family grappling with mental illness, moving out at just 14, and the trials and tribulations that brought him to this point ? shaping not only who he is, but also his work and his inclusive initiative Camp Southern Ground.

Plus, we discuss how legendary surrealist painter Salvador Dali?s protege, Louis Markoya, is involved in the show, not to mention free diving and other stunt-like feats.

And of course we couldn?t leave out new collaborations with Dolly Parton, Snoop Dogg, and Marcus King on this record, the story behind hits like ?Toes? and ?Chicken Fried,? raising five kids, his genre-hopping solo projects, what he learned working with Pharrell Williams, what?s his deal with knife-making, and so much more.

Kevin McHale Talks All Things 'Glee,' Naya Rivera, and The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee

As Artie Abrams in Glee, Kevin McHale graced our screens for six seasons and we?re thrilled to have the much beloved, seriously funny and astute actor on the couch for the first time. We get super nerdy ? and bring in head Gleek Kelsey ? to dive into the cult of the culture-shaping show, the particular era it existed in, the unique bond of the cast and crew, and the tragedies they experienced too. McHale, who as a child dreamt of being weatherman and was once in boyband called NLT (look it up), hosts the podcast And That's What You REALLY Missed podcast with fellow cast member and bestie Jenna Ushkowitz where they rewatch the show and bring on old friends and colleagues. Royel Otis Talks Moody, Viral Covers, Who's Your Boyfriend, and New Album 'Hickey'

Arguably one of the best Aussie exports since Tame Impala, along with artists like Amyl & the Sniffers and Spacey Jane, duo Royel Otis are breathing new life rock music. Having made waves back in 2022 with the Surf Curse-esque bop ?Oysters in My Pocket,? their covers of classics like ?Linger? by The Cranberries and Sophie Ellis-Bextor?s early-Aughts disco devastator ?Murder on the Dancefloor? sent them to the next level.

Sarah McLachlan Talks Lilith Fair, "Angel," Toy Story and First Album in 11 Years

Back with her first album in eleven years ? Better Broken ? we?re so thrilled to have Sarah McLachlan on the couch for the first time. A trailblazing, confessional, slice-of-life songwriter whose music goes for the jugular and resonates to this day, McLachlan broke in the 90s, rising up with the likes of Jewel, Tori Amos, Sheryl Crow, and Alanis Morrissette, to name a few. As artists they had to work ten times harder than their male contemporaries. Imagine a world where the powers that be said: two women on a bill? Nah. Two female artists played back-to-back on the radio? You must be joking!

Off the back of such rampant discrimination the Canadian singer founded the traveling, female-foregrounded festival, Lilith Fair when she was just 29-years-old. It ran for three summers and at one point was bigger than Lollapalooza. We talk about all this and the newly released Lilith Fair documentary out on Hulu now (watch it!), not to mention how, given the constant erosion of women?s rights thanks to the current administration, a new gen Lilith Fair feels more timely than ever!

We also get into the nitty-gritty of what she?s been up to for the past eleven years, her experiences parenting (and collaborating with) her two daughters, and the stories behind some of her biggest hits like ?Angel? ? about the tragic passing of Smashing Pumpkins keyboardist Jonathan Melvoin. He was an artist she didn?t know personally and yet now, on this album she?s collaborating with Jonathan?s sister Wendy, herself a legendary guitarist who was part of Prince?s band. Additionally we discuss the creation of her seminal 1993 LP, Fumbling Towards Ecstasy, her stalker(s) and the song it inspired, and her cover of Randy Newman?s ?When She Loved Me? (off Toy Story 2).

McLachlan is stunningly candid about her own childhood, her relationship with her mother and generational patterns, and the topics on her new album, which in part parses a toxic romantic relationship ? confronting her own denial, self-loathing, and eventually healing (and a massive f**k you!).

Icelandic singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist Laufey has carved out a singular space between jazz bossanova and Gen Z pop sensibility, and she?s back on the couch to talk about her new, third solo LP A Matter of Time. It?s the next chapter in her coming of age, still whimsical and heady with love (?Love Girl?), but more lyrically wry ? check ?Mr. Eclectic? for her cheeky pillorying of the performative, man-splaining dude on a date. She calls this record the marking of the end of her girlhood.

David Archuleta on Leaving LDS, Coming Out, Crush, and EP ?Earthly Delights?

Once upon a time David Archuleta was a cherub-faced boy with a big voice and a bigger dream. As the runner-up of American Idol season 7 back in 2008, he had 40 million people vote for him. Wrap your brain around that. Since then he?s released solo records, guest starred on Hannah Montana, completed his Mormon mission in Chile, toured, got engaged and unengaged (x3), all the while grappling internally with his sexuality.

We dive into this journey, in particular the last few years as he really came to terms with not only his sexuality (bi to asexual to gay to demisexual), but also his relationship with religion, his family and his community, all the different kinds of therapy he tried, and just what is scrupulosity?

Ultimately he poured a lot of his experiences into his latest EP Earthly Delights, a joyful collection ? which includes some Spanglish ? and sees the 34-year-old gleefully embracing some of life?s more carnal joys. Plus we talk about the first time he ever drank coffee, soaking, religious informants, his upcoming memoir, his love of EDM, all the West Hollywood hot spots, and so much more.

Jack Avery Talks Fatherhood, Why Don't We Lawsuit, Anxiety, and New Song "Aphrodite"

Former Why Don?t We member Jack Avery joins us solo on the sofa for the first time. It?s been a minute since we?ve heard from him and by all accounts ? his own ? he?s really been through it. From struggling to find loyal collaborators post-WDW, to suffering debilitating anxiety attacks, to financial struggles, to finding out his life might be in danger, to co-parenting his six-year-old daughter with his ex, Avery has been dealing with a lot.

He?s gone from being one of the most reticent interviewees (as part of WDW) to being refreshingly candid about the tough stuff. Newly inspired and diving into his R&B bag (and working with Rodney ?Darkchild? Jerkins!), his new tracks ? ?APHRODITE,? ?PLEASE DON?T GO? and ?IF YOU DON?T SHE WILL,? the latter of which was inspired by his girlfriend and which he performs acoustically for the first time on the couch. Don?t miss this one.

Mimi Webb Talks New Album 'Confessions,' Love Language, Narcissist and Mind Reader ft Meghan Trainor

Mimi Webb is back on the couch for the first time for the first time since 2022 and boy, has a lot changed. At that point, still riding high from the smash that was ?House on Fire? and Mimi hadn?t even released her debut album. Now the British 25-year-old returns with her long-awaited sophomore effort, Confessions, a record that sees her collab with the likes of Julia Michaels, Meghan Trainor, and Amy Allen; a record that?s risen from the ashes of a scrapped second album (only two songs from that collection are ?Side Effects? and ?You Don?t Look At Me The Same?), culminating in her most personal work yet.

We discuss all this plus how she?s now dating her childhood bestie, the impact of her parents divorce ? which she poured into song, her desire to break America, her brief single era, clairvoyants, the many, many British insults that mean the same thing, and so much more.

King Princess Talks RIP KP, 1950, Lesbian Drama, and New Album 'Girl Violence'

Strap in because a conversation with King Princess is an unstoppable stream of top-notch banter, whipsmart quips, real talk, and tea. Brooklyn-born Mikaela Strauss joins on the couch for the first time to discuss her third album, Girl Violence, her hookiest, most vulnerable record to date. Since dropping ?1950? back in 2018 when she was still a teenager (it became a viral sensation; Harry Styles tweeted about it), the singer/producer/multi-instrumentalist has upped the ante with every release.

With Girl Violence the 26-year-old holds a magnifying glass to drama, heartbreak, and ?emotional warfare? of lesbian relationships. We take a deep dive into her theories and the stories behind her songs, plus her fantastical queer dress-up party Bazongas (you?re invited), the fetishistic angle of her Instagram algorithm, how she got the iconic Lisa Rena to take part in her album campaign, and who the hell is chaos-demon Cherry.

She also discusses collaborating with IDLES? Joe Talbot, jumping in the studio with Charli XCX, and what it?s like to go from zero to 100 on your first release ? the pressure, the ego, the destabilization. Plus there?s a whole sidebar about her former home in LA being invaded by 30,000 bees and we get the full story of her great-great grandparents, who were immortalized as the old couple spooning in bed in James Cameron?s Titanic. No, really.

Jakob Nowell of Sublime Talks His Father's Legacy, Ensenada, Addiction and Santeria

With songs like ?Santeria,? ?What I Got,? and ?Wrong Way,? ska-punk band Sublime?s music is a forever slice 90s SoCal, their songs ultimately becoming the soundtrack to pop culture from the era and beyond. Tragically, in 1996 singer Bradley Nowell died from a heroin overdose at 28-years-old before the Long Beach trio made it big.

In the subsequent years the remaining members, Bud Gaugh and Eric Wilson, joined forces with Rome Ramirez to form Sublime with Rome, but in 2024 they revealed a whole new line-up, making their official live debut at Coachella with Nowell?s son, Jakob taking centerstage on the mic.

The now 30-year-old was just ten months old when his dad passed, a legacy and loss which has and continues to loom large. An artist in his own right as the driving force between emo-glitch-ska band Jakobs Castle, the singer/guitarist hasn?t had the easiest ride, including a troubled childhood, substance issues which has ultimately resulted in nearly a decade of sobriety.

We get into all this, plus he explains how the creative process with Sublime works today, exclusively announcing an album of brand new Sublime album ? Till the Sun Explodes ? coming early next year and letting us hear sneak peaks of not one, but two new tracks. Turns out the new Sublime cuts are not only a collaboration with Bud and Eric, who he affectionately calls his Uncs, but also Jakob?s peers and pals, including Zac from Fidlar.

We also discuss the possibility of a Sublime biopic, the passing of Jakob?s hairless cat, and his perhaps somewhat surprising stance on drugs, plus so much more.

The Runarounds Talk First Time Acting, Outer Banks, Senior Year, and New Series "The Runarounds"

Meet The Runarounds ? both the cast of Prime?s new YA series and an actual IRL band comprised of singer/guitarists William Lipton and Axel Ellis, guitarist Jeremy Yun, bassist Jesse Golliher, and drummer Zendé Murdock. We unravel their origin story: who?s known each other since they were kids, who got involved thanks to casting call for a band for the series Outer Banks (another YA series created by Jonas Pate, who also helms this show), and just where do the real life band and the characters they play begin and end. Spoiler alert ? there?s a lot of overlap. Their creative development as a band does mirror the arc of the show and some of the stories of how they were raised do wind up being mirrored in the script.

With the exception of William Lipton, who had a long-running role on General Hospital, all these guys were diving into acting head first with zero experience. We talk about all this plus, their indie rock influences, stunts, plot twists, moral quandaries, anxiety issues, learning to act in front of the lens, and why this took half a decade to hit our small screens. You can catch the full series on Amazon Prime Video now.

KUN Talks New Song ?Jasmine,? Love, Loneliness, Nine Percent and "Deadman"

Perhaps you know KUN from the reality show Idol Producer and the band Nine Percent. Maybe you?re an OG fan from back in his SWIN days thanks to the Chinese reality show Super Producer. Or maybe you?re a latter day convert from his work on season 2 of Youth with You alongside Lisa of Blackpink, Ella Chen, and Jony J. Any which way you slice it ? whether on reality shows or part of a group or as a solo star in his own right ? the Wenzhou-born artist has packed a lot into his 27 years. A big deal, a fashion fiend, the guy has his own Madame Tussaud?s waxwork.

On the couch KUN opens up about his path to now ? from his tough times as a teen in the idol system, the two years of rigorous training, far from home, not knowing the language, not to mention everything he learned ? to how he feels about his past releases, and the old man inside him.

KUN also talks about his romantic side, the one who watches flicks like The Notebook and Titanic, and his new work, singles like ?Deadman? and ?Jasmine? which show off his soulful side, his vintage influences in clothes and music (Bowie, traditional Chinese ballads, Winehouse). He?s fun, funny, and a great hang. And he also has a crack at styling Dan?s hair.

Tom Odell Talks Another Love, Independence, ?Ugly,? Billie Eilish, and New Album ?A Wonderful Life?

Incredibly ? given the breadth and heft of his career ? this is the first time Tom Odell has hopped on our couch. The English songwriter?s been soul-searching and plundering his own emotional depths to sett to piano-driven pop since 2013, signing to Lily Allen?s short-lived Sony imprint (more on that in the chat), and releasing instant smash ?Another Love.? It?s a song that?s taken on a whole new meaning and had a whole new lease of life thanks to TikTok, finding uplifting resonance for many amidst the ongoing Ukranian-Russian war.

Now an independent artist ? let?s just say major label life was rough despite his success ? Odell is back with his new, seventh album, A Wonderful Life. And he?s playing arenas! We find out about its creation, existential dread brought on by observances of this modern age, not to mention introspection and the dark before the light.

He also discusses his unique relationship with Billie Eilish (who he just finished touring with), and FINNEAS, the resurgence of ?Another Love,? and the power of audience and authenticity. We go deep into self-analysis, body-image and perception on new song ?Ugly,? anxiety, and the tough times he had in 2021, struggling to sell shows before leaving Sony and phoenix rising-style absolutely smashing it (to borrow British parlance). There was also quite a harrowing encounter with a rattlesnake in Utah, plus so much more.

Riley Green on "Jesus Saves," ?Redneck Island,? Ella Langley, and album ?Don?t Mind If I Do?

He?s a prolific country star who first emerged in 2017, but has been really hitting his stride in the past couple of years, solidifying the buzz with endless tours, high profile collabs with Ella Langley, Luke Combs, Thomas Rhett, and his latest, third album Don?t Mind If I Do (the deluxe just dropped).

The Jacksonville, Alabama former football star joins us in the studio for the first time to talk about building his grassroots fanbase, his time working in construction, his time on Redneck Island (twice!), and getting pelted by bras (and Spanx) onstage.

Other hot couch topics: the power of simplicity in songwriting, the influence of his grandaddies, fishing with Luke Bryan (plus to pose or not to pose with fish), the underground dating world of Facebook Marketplace mirror photos, his lowkey truck obsession, his budding Nashville bar-restaurant empire, plus so much more.

John Oates Talks Hall & Oates, Man Eater, Rich Girl and New Album "Oates"

Hall & Oates are the biggest selling American duo in music history. Let that just marinate for a second. The iconic pair made waves through the 70s and 80s with songs like ?She?s Gone,? ?Rich Girl,? ?Private Eyes,? ?Maneater,? and ?I Can?t Go For That (No Can Do),? to name a scant few, and while they continued to release albums well into their fourth decade, by 2023 they were locked in an acrimonious lawsuit with regards to Oates wanting to sell his stake in their business partnership. As of August 2025 the charttopping duo have resolved the issue, but this is of course a topic we touched upon when the legendary guitarist and songwriter stopped by the studio for the first time.

Where his last solo album was an exploration of his folk/blues/Americana roots, for his newly released seventh record, Oates, he pulls from his more groove-based back catalog, teaming up with and being inspired by young artists like Lawrence and Devon Gilfillian. As well as discussing all this, he also shares once in a lifetime encounters with Madonna, Andy Warhol, and Michael Jackson, the power music and visuals (in particular pertaining to 500 Days of Summer), his time as an Anteater on The Masked Singer (no, really), the stories behind songs like ?Rich Girl,? and their second LP Abandoned Luncheonette, plus so much more.
