He joined the law firm Kasowitz, Benson, Torres & Friedman (then known as Kasowitz, Hoff, Benson & Torres) in 1994, where he met and represented Donald Trump, then chairman and president of The Trump Organization.

He was an advisor to Trump during his successful presidential campaign. In December 2016, President-elect Trump's transition team announced that Friedman was Trump's nominee for ambassador. 277. Deeper Yet Into The Weeds: Pageau, Vervaeke, Peterson

This was the first time that Jonathan Pagaeu, John Vervaeke, and Jordan Peterson all sat down together in person. Recorded in Dr. Peterson?s home, and prominently featuring many of Kwakwaka?wakw carver Charles Joseph?s incredible statues and carvings, this recording may require a few complete watchthroughs. The conversation was created to intentionally dive deep into the areas of systems of perception and their impacts on our abilities to prioritize, the nature of YHWH (Judeo-Christian God), and the exploration of the True, the Good, and the Beautiful. This conversation is only the beginning of many more conversations to have between these three and on these topics. Please comment any insights that you have derived from this video, my team will be paying close attention to the progress on these ideas.

Jonathan Pageau is a symbolic thinker, YouTuber, and class carver of orthodox icons. Jordan and Jonathan have an ongoing dialogue surrounding Judeo-Christian narrative, reality, and symbolism among many other topics.

John Vervaeke is an Assistant Professor in Cognitive Psychology and Cognitive Science at the University of Toronto. His work constructs a bridge between science and spirituality in order to understand the experience of meaningfulness and the cultivation of wisdom so as to afford awakening from the meaning crisis.

273. Conservative Resistance in Canada | Roman Baber & Dr Jordan B Peterson

Canadian Politician Roman Baber joins Dr Peterson to discuss the state of the Conservative Party in Canada and their approach to climate change, and the devastating hit Canada's reputation has taken at the international level.

Roman Baber is a former Member of Ontario's Provincial Parliament. He is running for Leader of the Conservative Party of Canada because he will not "sit back while Canadians are losing faith in Canada's democracy and Canadian opportunity." He was removed by Doug Ford from the Ontario government caucus after calling out the collateral harm of lockdowns in January 2021. Since then, Roman has been a staunch advocate in favour of a balanced covid response and in particular against lockdowns due to their toll on the health and mental health of Canadians. Roman brought legislation to cut MPP pay to CERB levels while Emergency Orders are in place, commenced and is in litigation against the Attorney General of Ontario over Canadians' right to protest and worship outdoors and recently brought a Bill to outlaw workplace mandates. Roman is passionate about and is well familiar with justice, transit and autism policy.

Roman was born and lived in the former Soviet Union until he was almost 9. He then lived in Israel until he immigrated to Canada with his family at age 15 and settled in the heart of the north Toronto district he now represents. Roman obtained a BA from York University and graduated from law school at the University of Western Ontario. During his last year of law school, Roman was a supervisor with the school's legal aid funded clinic. Roman was called to the Ontario Bar in 2006 and practiced civil and commercial litigation until his election in 2018. He served as Chair of the Ontario Provincial Parliament?s Standing Committee on Justice Policy from September 2019 until January 2021.

Roman is an occasional lecturer at an after-school program, engaging high school students on constitutional and criminal law topics. He loves Canadian kindness, the Toronto Raptors and his special someone, Nancy Marchese.

254. The Adventures of Pinocchio and Free Speech Part 4/4

In the finale of the Adventures of Pinocchio and Free Speech series, we visit many different episodes of this podcast. From the UK to the US and from Cambridge to Canada; we are fighting against the (not so) slow erosion of one of the most powerful forces that many would consider inalienable. The power with which God created the world. The power that can combine a family through marriage or tear it apart through war. The spoken and written word. The pen is mightier than the sword.

252. This Lesson From The Bible Will Make You Unstoppable | Jordan Peterson at Franciscan University

This episode was recorded on April 4, 2022.

I discussed gratitude, faith, and suffering in this conversation at the Franciscan University of Steubenville. How can we be sure that pain is a solid guiding principle as we navigate the world? What is the underlying structure of pain, and what does it point at?

We also touched on a myriad of topics around those central themes, such as sin and the symbol of the snake, giving advice, resurrection, the relationship between faith and suffering, evil, the effect we have on others, and sunsets.

251. You Probably Should Have Read The Bible | Jordan Peterson at Franciscan University of Steubenville

This episode was recorded on April 4, 2022.

In this speech at the Franciscan University of Steubenville, Jordan shared recent thoughts on ethics, scripture, and the problem of perception. He asked the audience to reflect on how we remember great stories (but seem to instantly forget bad ones), why Western culture ended up being a book (instead of?say?a sickle), and whether the West truly is a ?phallogocentric" culture.

All of this, Jordan says, tied to a broader possibility?perhaps his ?most radical claim"?that, as we navigate the value structures we call reality, a lot of so-called ?navigational? problems are really veiled ethical ones.

233. Carr On Comedy | Jimmy Carr | The JBP Podcast

This episode was recorded on November 02, 2021.

Jimmy Carr is an award-winning comedian, author, and TV host. Carr recently came under fire for the career-enders subsection in His Dark Material, a Netflix special that?s deemed ?deeply offensive? or ?faithful to its title,? depending on who you ask. Carr?s latest book, Before & Laughter, is part memoir, part life advice, and mostly funny.

We had a stimulating conversation about human nature, comedy and the physiology of laughter, experiencing jokes, half-filled rooms, truth, growth, self-deprecation, love languages, religion, and the 15? replica of his head.

In part 2 of 3 in our Narrative, Story, and Writing compilation released January 21, we explored how stories impact how we see the world. In this second part, we look at what it means to write with purpose and what that ability can add to your life.

We also look into how reading and writing connects to personal growth, and how character is built by forcing an articulation of what we think, how we feel, and why.

This compilation consists of conversations from season 4 with people like Randall Wallace, Jocko Willink, and Andrew Doyle. There's also a section from Mikhaila Peterson podcast, episode 54 with Jordan and Mark Manson.
